After graduating in November 2020, I continued learning CLO3D. CLO3D is a 3D CAD program for apparel. I also began working at Kendra Scott when moving back home. I told myself I wanted to learn more of CLO3D but when I moved back home I sat around not using my sources I had.
The one day on LinkedIn, I randomly came across a few profiles of individuals who worked as 3D Designers using CO3D and their work was AMAZING! I was motivated instantly to have presentable work. I didn't know what to design or make but then I started having concept ideas, why not. I took the company Kendra Scott and designed two apparel collections around the company adding my personal twist to it as well.
The collection on the left was inspired by South Asian styles. Full of volume, various styles, consisting of several silhouettes for multiple occasional wear. The collection on the right was inspired by Kendra herself and what I thought her personal casual but dressy style would be. These looks consisted of two wide leg pant variations, one was cropped and one was a full length, sheer organza paneling, peplums and more.
After sketching my designs out, I began creating digital pattern work on CLO3D, rendered my designs by creating cat walks to mimic a virtual fashion show.

I created this print using the closest yellow to Kendra Scott's signature yellow and added neutrals to balance the print.
The most exciting part about this project aside from completing it was Tom Nolan, the new CEO of Kendra Scott, liking and commenting on my LinkedIn post where I shared the full video!

On and off work of two and half months went into this from idea, design, to digital reality. Below you'll find the final video put together showcasing all of the looks and different angles of models on the runway. A really good friend of mine, Erica Dixon wanted to help create a video as soon as I brought the idea up and I was so grateful for her help! So here's the video.
Also, check out more of Erica's work here.
I hope you all felt as if you were at a real fashion show!
Stay tuned for more work to come!
